About
A Multi Author Site just like A list Apart
What’s is different?
Alist Aport mimics approximately the same Information Architecture as Alist Apart. Alist Apart, which is my famous Web Magazine is driven by a custom-made Rails application.
Alist Aport is Textpattern v4.0.5. and MLP powered.
It uses a modified Base and Mlp Pack Installation with 31 Plugins, among those 6 Custom Made ones.
Alist Aport is multi-language driven Site. 5 Languages are installed. On perm-link locations, if content hasn’t been localized yet, a 404 Error Page is returned which is exactly the desired behavior.
Localized Issues are listed and filtered according to the latest localized Issues available. That is why sometimes the Numbers that you see, might differ from the English Version for both The Frontpage and the Article and Issue Archivepages. The Publishingdates might also differ. The Publishingdates for localized Issues are the Publishingdates that reflect the availability of Localizations.
What is similar?
The Information Architecture is basically the same. Each Issue has two main articles and a featured Add. Each Article is archived under Articles and each Issue is archived under Issues. Each Article is also assigned to two main topics, which are available under their localized 4-Tier and 3-Tier permlink Url as well.
What are the advantages ?
The Main Advantages are: A cleaner Approach toward the model of a real on-line magazine, and a cleaner SEO approach.
